Organised by the RIBA South/ South-East, the Henley design day is an annual event that takes place annually. Inhabitat was part of a joint stand with the Berkshire Women Architects. The intention was to create awareness about the role of women in architecture. Some of the things that were discussed were particular skills that they bring to the profession. “One of the key abilities displayed by women architects is that we have really good negotiation skills. This is an important tool needed during any construction project.”, said Sandra during the event. Starting with solid examples of women who made an impact in architecture, such as Zaha Hadid, we can definitely say that women have a different approach in creating architecture.
